Share a graph or branch
Create a public link for a whole graph or only the selected path.
Sharing creates a time-limited public snapshot. Choose the whole graph when another person needs the alternatives, or a selected branch when they need only one path.
Create a link#
- Open the conversation you want to share.
- To share one path, select its final node first.
- Choose Share conversation in the graph toolbar, or open a node menu and choose Share branch.
- Select Whole graph or Selected branch.
- Choose Create graph link or Create branch link.
- Convography copies the URL to the clipboard when browser permissions allow it.

What each scope includes#
| Scope | Shared structure |
|---|---|
| Whole graph | The complete conversation snapshot with all included branches |
| Selected branch | Only the ancestor path ending at the selected node |
Both scopes preserve a read-only graph and path viewer. Images are included when sharing creates the snapshot, and signed-in members are allowed to branch a copy into their own workspace under the current share settings.
Snapshot behavior#
A share captures conversation messages at creation time. Work added to the owner’s graph later is not silently appended to an existing public snapshot. Create a new link when recipients need an updated version.
The title stored for a share comes from the conversation or selected branch at creation. Your active-links list can show the current source title for easier management, but the public snapshot remains its own record.
Expiration#
Links expire seven days after creation. The share dialog displays each active link’s expiry. Create a fresh link for access beyond that time.
Share safely#
Anyone with the URL can open the public snapshot until it expires or is revoked. Before creating it:
- inspect every included branch;
- remove secrets and unnecessary personal data;
- verify generated images and linked web sources;
- use Selected branch to minimize exposure;
- never paste the link into a public place unless that is intentional.
Rotating a link invalidates the previous token and creates a new URL. Revoking ends access immediately.
