Sharing

Manage shared links

Copy, rotate, revoke, and review active links from one place.

Manage public access from the Share dialog for one conversation or from Account settings → Shared links across the account.

The Share dialog lists unrevoked, unexpired links for the open conversation. Account settings groups active links by source conversation. Each entry identifies its title, graph or branch scope, and expiration.

Expired and revoked links are excluded from the active list.

Use Copy link to put the active URL on the clipboard. If clipboard access is blocked, the Share dialog displays the URL in a field so you can copy it manually.

Rotate when the URL may have reached someone unintended but you still want the snapshot to remain available to new recipients.

Rotation invalidates the old token and returns a new URL for the same share record. Send the replacement only to the intended audience. Anyone using the prior link will no longer have access.

Revoke when public access should end. Revocation is immediate and cannot be undone from the interface. Create a new share if access is needed later.

Revoking the link does not delete the owner’s conversation or copies that signed-in members already branched into their own workspaces.

Use expiration as a backstop#

Every link expires after seven days, but expiration is not a substitute for revocation. Revoke promptly when a project changes audience, content is found to be sensitive, or a link is posted in the wrong place.

Audit habits#

Review Shared links regularly:

  1. Group links by conversation.
  2. Confirm each recipient still needs access.
  3. Revoke unnecessary links.
  4. Rotate any link with uncertain distribution.
  5. Create a fresh snapshot when the source work has materially changed.
