Privacy & data
Understand practical account, sharing, provider, and deletion boundaries.
Convography stores account and conversation data to provide graph history, files, sharing, and billing. Your own handling choices—especially file uploads and public links—remain an important part of privacy.
Conversation data#
Prompts, responses, graph relationships, selected-file context, model metadata, citations, and supported usage records are persisted so a conversation can be reloaded accurately. Only the active ancestor path is sent as conversational history for a normal branch request; sibling branch content is not silently merged into it.
Provider processing#
AI requests are sent to the provider selected by Auto, the provider route, or the chosen model. Files included for direct processing can also be sent to that provider. Remove secrets and data that the provider does not need.
Read the current Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the governing commitments. This user guide explains product behavior but does not replace those documents.
Files#
Uploaded and app-created files are account-owned records with bounded signed download URLs. Security and processing states determine whether a file can be used. Deleting a file makes it unavailable to conversations and starts storage cleanup; deletion is not reversible from the interface.
Public sharing#
A share link is a bearer URL: anyone who has it can open the snapshot until expiration or revocation. Whole-graph shares can expose more than the selected path. Use branch scope, inspect content before sharing, and revoke links whose audience is uncertain.
Signed-in members can copy an allowed shared path into their own account. Revoking your public link does not erase copies another member already created.
Billing and telemetry#
The application records provider usage and billing-account state needed for credit accounting, access control, reconciliation, and operations. Browser and server telemetry is designed to diagnose critical flows without making the user’s prompt the default logging payload.
Request data deletion#
Self-service whole-account erasure is not available in the current UI. Contact support@convography.com from the account email for an access or deletion request. Deleting conversations and files individually is immediate and destructive, but does not by itself close the account or remove required billing records.
