Graph & branches

Use the graph on mobile

Switch between Chat and Graph views and navigate branches on a touch screen.

On mobile, Convography separates the chat path and graph canvas into focused views. The underlying conversation structure is the same as desktop.

Open the graph#

From Chat, tap Graph. The graph view includes controls for the conversation pane, a new conversation, sharing, deletion, feedback, account settings, and returning to Chat.

Pan with one finger on empty canvas space and pinch with two fingers to zoom. A single tap selects a node for graph actions. Double-tap a message node to open its path and return to the chat experience.

Use the conversation pane#

Open the conversation shortcut from the graph controls to reveal the conversation list. Select a conversation or create a new one, then close the pane to use the canvas. The sidebar backdrop closes the panel without changing your selection.

Choose a send mode#

The mobile composer keeps the primary send action compact. Long-press or open the send-mode menu to choose:

  • Send — create the next response and follow it;
  • Send behind — create a background continuation without changing your view;
  • Load context — store a context-only message;
  • Send All and Synthesize — when available, create four provider responses and combine the completed lanes after every lane finishes or stops; at least two completed responses are required.

The send label reflects the active mode. Send all remains a separate comparison action when it is available.

Avoid accidental branch placement#

Mobile screens show less of the graph at once, so confirm the selected node before composing. Double-tap it, read the final prompt in Chat, and then send. If you need to keep reading the current path while launching another, use the inline send-behind action on the exact assistant answer.

Improve touch navigation#

  • Pinch slowly near the branch you want instead of zooming from the edge of the screen.
  • Close the conversation pane before panning.
  • Use branch colors to distinguish paths that extend beyond the viewport.
  • Rotate to landscape when inspecting a wide comparison graph.
  • Use the Chat control rather than the browser Back button to return from Graph.
